Indonesian Ministry Refutes U.S. Rumour of Rice Import

The Agriculture Ministry of Indonesia refuted a rumour made by the United States Department of Agriculture that Indonesia would import about 2.5 million tons of rice in 2002, making the country the world`s largest rice importer.
