YANGON, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar exported 614,705 tons of rice and broken rice in the first quarter of 2025-26 fiscal year, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation on Friday.
The Southeast Asian country earned 214 million U.S. dollars from the exports during the three months, the federation's data showed.
During the period, the country exported rice and broken rice via both sea and land routes to more than 30 countries, including China, Spain, Poland and Belgium, it said.
In the 2024-25 fiscal year, Myanmar exported over 2.4 million tons of rice and broken rice, generating more than 1.1 billion dollars in revenue, official data showed. ■
